Enlightened Journey Montessori is a newly established, nonprofit Montessori school, privately owned and non-religious, located in Rancho Santa Margarita. Our program is intentionally designed to grow with your child and support their unique educational journey. We are committed to directing as much funding as possible back into our classrooms—supporting our students, enriching learning materials, and caring for our teachers.
We believe education should be tailored to meet the needs of each child, not the other way around. Led by experienced, Montessori-trained teachers, our school is grounded in meeting children where they are—both academically and emotionally.
Our program is especially well-suited for families seeking a home-school–like environment, children who thrive with smaller class sizes, those who benefit from more individualized attention, or students with diverse learning needs who may find traditional school settings challenging.
At Enlightened Journey Montessori, we offer a thoughtfully prepared environment that emphasizes project-based learning, self-paced progress, and a well-rounded education—nurturing independence, confidence, and a genuine love of learning.
We also offer Aftercare for non-school students and welcome children ages 5–14 on a daily basis. Our aftercare program is open to anyone in the community and begins at 1:00 PM.

At Enlightened Journey Montessori School, our mission is to nurture a lifelong love of learning by empowering each child to explore, create, and grow in a supportive, inclusive, and prepared environment. Guided by the Montessori philosophy, we cultivate curiosity, independence, and respect for self, others, and the world around us. Together with families and community, we aim to inspire children to reach their full potential as confident, compassionate, and capable individuals prepared to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Classroom Sizes
Our classroom sizes will not exceed 10 students per classroom at max, ensuring personalized attention and tailored support for each child.
Hands-On Learning Engagement
We are dedicated to hands-on, experiential learning, fostering creativity and critical thinking. We will be taking walking field trips to the library, the park, and different places around our community at least once a month, striving for once a week weather provided. We strive for project based learning whenever possible, and we encourage learning that is self-driven and led.
Diversity and Inclusivity
Our community represents families from all walks of life, and we try to help out our families in financial need. If Financial Aid is required or a concern, please discuss with the administration on how to apply for a scholarship. We welcome all children reguardless of disablities or background.*
*Please note we are not equipped to work with children who have extreme behavioral challenges. If safety for the child and other children in the classroom is involved, a child may not be able to participate in the program. This is discussed and decided amongst classroom teacher, admin, and parents.
